Lowri Speech Therapy provides assessment, treatment, and support for children with speech, language, and communication needs. The service covers the New Forest, Hampshire, and surrounding areas.
Assessment and therapy can take place at your home, at a clinic space, or at your child's educational setting depending on your preference.
Before therapy can begin, a case history will be taken, and both informal and formal assessments will be carried out as indicated. When the assessment period is complete you will be given a written summary of the findings, and detailed recommendations on how to support your child.
If therapy is recommended, we can agree a plan which considers your personal family circumstances and your budget. Therapy can involve working directly with your child during individual sessions, working closely with your family, and working collaboratively with teaching staff. We can work together to write meaningful therapy targets, and to create an environment which will enable your child to reach their full potential.
When planning assessment and intervention, your child's interests and personality will always be considered, and resources will be personalised to make them as motivating as possible. To achieve the best outcomes for your child, therapy should be relevant, engaging, and fun!
